Shojo no Tomo EXHIBITION [ChildPlay /???GOCO]

I’ve collaborated with Shojo no Tomo for her exhibition in the shop “theory” at Aoyama Bell Commons.
Shojo no Tomo designed the project, recorded the sound samples and made the clothes.
I designed and made the electronic part so that each cloth emits a sound when touched or activated through a pasmo-like card.

I’ve uploaded some pictures on my Flickr.

Location: theory shop, Aoyama Bell Commons 1F
Time: 2008.10.30-11.03 from 11:00 to 20:00

Another part of the exhibition is held in the theory shop at Omotesando Hills.

It’s a Donnie world

As I told you before, Alvaro Cassinelli and me have collaborated with Petite Pisseuse for the exhibition Puppen x Puppen she’s organizing from today, and the result is an interactive plush doll called Donnie. The whole project is entitled “It’s a Donnie world”. There will be a demonstration tomorrow during the opening party (from 18:00, no charge, Itoken will be DJ and I will perform as 23N!) where anyone will be able to be Donnie for a while.

We are planning to then use videos and pictures taken during the party to make a short movie that will be displayed along with Donnie during the remaining time of the exhibition (until 19 October). May be a small website will be built too.

Puppen x Puppen

The exhibition Puppen x Puppen organized by petite pisseuse will start Friday 10 October and will last until 19 October. It will take place at the gallery Lov Lab in Harajuku.
Petite Pisseuse will show a lot of plush dolls from various artists as well as her own works in collaboration with several artists. Alvaro Cassinelli and I have collaborated with Petite Pisseuse for a plush doll with a camera so that you can see the world through the eyes of the plush doll. Of course, the world is not as you and me see it. More on that when the plush doll and the software are completed.

There will be an opening party on Saturday 11 October from 18:00 to 21:00. It’s free and you can bring food if you want. Before there will be a workshop by The Chinchilla.

Bye Bye Wai Wai

I’m a bit late on this but one of my favorite column, the infamous Wai Wai on the Mainichi Shimbun site, has been shut down due to complaints. I’ll not explain here exactly the reasons behind the disappearance of Wai Wai (bad image for Mainichi Shimbun, for Japan, lousy ethics, …) as you can find a lot of details on Internet but I wonder how someone could have taken this column seriously…
